Hmmm....yummy!!!

Mommy and I were judges at Uncle Val's and Steve's Beer Butt Chicken Smoke-Off. I tried both chefs' chickens, some of Steve's potato stuff, and I had a cookie, but mommy says it's called bread. That was so very yummy, I kept asking for more!
When I wasn't eating, I spent the day running around the yard, trying to play with Babalu, and looking at the quack-quacks on the canal. I even wanted to ride Pat's boat, but since we couldn't, Tio put my in his boat and rocked it back and forth in the yard. That was so much fun! I started to cry when mommy took me out.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, some of the boys that were fishing off the canal caught a turtle by mistake. I just stared at it, I'd never seen a turtle before. For some reason, I couldn't find it's head...maybe it was scared, and went inside that hard thing around it. That's okay, Tio took off the hook it got caught in and put it back in the water. What a hero!!
Mommy and I left around 7 because we had another visit to make. Maybe next time we'll stay a little longer so we don't miss the concert!
