Live Blogging, Day 3

Here I am, on the last day of Cuba Nostalgia.
As I was arriving at the booth, the great Israel "Cachao" Lopez was sitting on a bench between the two buildings that hold the exhibits. I shook the man's hand and gave him a kiss on the cheek. I am honored to have been able to meet such a legend. Check out Babalu Blog for details.
The convention ends in 4 hours, and we're already planning for next year! I don't mena to be reduntant, but this is truly an amazing experience.

Oh, and go wish my sister a happy birthday, will you? She turned 25 today, as I posted here.

Amanda, I was so dissapointed I wasn't able to stay long enough to meet you. Next year, I hope. I love your posts.

Hi, Amanda!
What can I say about the CubaNostalgia weekend?
I still get teary-eyed when I think about it... and I feel like a sissy-boy. My departure from the site on Sunday was "a moco tendido," as my mother used to say (sorry, you'll have to look it up, or ask an oldtimer of your mother, or older, generation).
Just wanted to ask you if everyone checked their lottery tickets? The winning numbers were supposed to be drawn last Saturday night. I meant to buy the Sunday edition of The Miami Herald, but I just forgot, so at this point I don't know if I have a multi-million dollar piece of paper in my wallet. Or you and a couple of the others Babalusian Troops may have it.
If you do find out what the winning combination was, please let me know.
And I love the blog for your baby!

Kathleen,
Thanks. I'm sorry I wasn't able to meet you either. I couldn't be at the booth as much as I wanted to. Definitely next year!

Julio,
I know what "moco tendido" is, and I can tell you I felt the same way.
As for the lotto winnings, no such luck for me.
Here are the winning numbers:
02-16-17-18-20-29
Maybe Val or Maggie were one of the lucky ones, and they just haven't told us yet...
