A bit under the weather

I had my 15-month check-up a week ago.
I weigh 22 1/2 pounds and measure 31 1/4 inches. I got two shots, but I got over that pretty quickly. The doctor says I'm doing great, and he's very surprised that I say about 20 words, between English and Spanish.

But right now I have a stomach virus.
We were at Grandma Tere and Grandpa Gus's house on Tuesday night, and when we were getting ready to leave around 10 PM, I started vomiting. Mommy called the doctor's office, and the doctor said that there's a 24-hour stomach virus going around.
I fell asleep, but not before I threw up twice more. By this time it was almost 1 AM, so daddy and mommy decided that we were going to stay right where we were. We live about 15 miles from there, and mommy and daddy didn't want to drive all the way home with me feeling so badly.
I have my own room at my grandparents' house, which has a day bed that mommy and daddy could sleep on, so it worked out perfectly.
Daddy went to work in the morning, and mommy called in sick to take care of me. We came home at noon, and in the afternoon my Abuela Greisy(daddy's mom) watched me because mommy had an appointment to register for her next semester of school. I played for a little while with Abuela, but then I fell asleep for almost 2 hours. I woke up just in time to see Elmo's World!
I felt much better at night, I even played for a while with my toys. I went to sleep and had a great rest, but today mommy woke up with nausea and vomiting too! I guess I gave her my virus. I'm sorry, mommy.
She and daddy, who was off today, are home with me. We've been resting and laying around for most of the day. Mommy and daddy put on Brother Bear, which I got for Easter, but I slept throught it. I'm sure they will put it on for me later though, they thought it was great!

Another First

Thank you, Auntie Kelley, for my very first ping in the Cul-de-Sac.
Mommy says it will probably take us all week to get through all the great links!

Just call me Captain Brandon

Thanks to Uncle Val and his neighbor Patrick, I went on my very first boat ride today. We went for a ride on the canal behind Val and Pat's houses to the Farm Store, and back again.
I LOVED the ride, and whenever the wind hit my face I would smile and laugh, but mommy didn't have much fun at all. She only likes big boats, where the water level is nowhere near the edge of the boat. I think they are called cruise ships.
We didn't have a camera with us, but next time we'll take lots of pictures.
I have to go now, it's way past my bedtime.
Good night!

Happy Easter!!

Hi everybody! Mommy, daddy and I are on our way to two Easter Egg Hunts, and later an Easter dinner at my Godfather's house, but we wanted to take a few minutes to wish you all a very happy Easter!
Oh, and today I turn 15 months.
Mommy thought I should look especially dashing by dressing me up in the guayabera that Auntie Claudia and Uncle Ren gave me for my birthday in January...what do you think?

Hope the Easter Bunny brings you lots of goodies!!

I love Baseball

I'm posting this without mommy knowing. It's a big surprise so don't tell her yet.

Yesterday, I went to the Marlins season Opener with Mommy, Daddy, Titi and my super coolest Uncle Val. It was an adventure because we almost missed the first pitch. Uncle Val says that is a bad thing and I believe him cause he's Uncle Val.

First, Daddy dropped Mommy off at the Doctor's office because she had an apoynt appoint apoinment.. she had to see the doctor. Then Daddy took me to my great Grandparent's house where Titi and Uncle Val were waiting for me. I played for a little while with my great grandmother and great grandfather because they really know that I'm the best thing since sliced bread.

After a little while there we all got in the car - Uncle Val rode shotgun cause he says he's too big but I think he's getting a little fat - and then went to pick up Mommy at the doctor's office. But the doctor still hadnt seen mommy and we had to wait in the car forever. Mommy had left a CD in the stereo that was pretty nice. It's called Baby Mozart and has some great music. But we waited so long that it kept playing over and over and over. I heard it so many times that if mommy gives me a piano I can play those tunes.

Titi was hungry so we went to a Wendy's and came back. She gave me some french fries. I like french fries. Theyre pretty tasty. After she ate, Titi tried to keep me occupied by playing with me and my stuffed Nemo. She kept shoving that stuffed animal in my face and I kept laughing. Not because it was funny but because I didnt want to let Titi know that she was tickling my nose with the furry thing. If I were a little bigger, I would have stuffed Nemo in Titi's face to see how she would like a fuzzy thing going in her nose.

Finally Mommy calls that she's ready and we went and picked her up. She drove us to the ballpark really fast. I think Uncle val was scared 'cause he was in the passenger seat and looked like he was braking and he was holding on for dear life. Uncle Val is a little cooky.

When we finally made it to the stadium, we found a pretty good parking spot just in time to see some men flying down on parashoots parachoots...hanging from big blankets. Every one was in a hurry so we all were walking fast. Mommy and Daddy took turns carrying me to the stadium. Once we got there Uncle Val was forced volunteered to carry up the long winding ramps. It was four stories high. Uncle Val kept saying alot of words I havent heard before when he was getting to the top.

We finally made it to our seats right before the game started. I saw them introduce all the players and even stood up for the National Anthem. I saw the first pitch being thrown and even a few innings before I fell asleep on Mommy's lap.

Next thing I know I wake up and it's the eighth inning and Uncle Val is now yelling those words he was saying before. It was a little scary, but the Marlins ended up winning the game and everybody was happy.

Uncle Val carried me on his shoulders all the way down the ramp and then all the way to the car. For a fat old guy, Uncle Val is pretty strong. Anyway, the minute Mommy put me in the car seat I fell asleep.

I had a great time at the ballgame, even if I didnt get to eat any hotdogs or peanuts or pretzels. Thanks for taking me, Mommy and Daddy!

Babbles

Mommy went to the doctor on Tuesday, and found out she has gastritis (she's feeling A LOT better now, thank God. that Ranitidine is a blessing, she says).
I haven't seen Grandma Tere or Grandpa Gus this week. They are remodeling their kitchen and there's dust and holes in the floor and all sorts of other things for me to play with that I shouldn't. They asked mommy if someone else could watch me on Tuesday night while mommy was at school, so daddy stayed with me. I miss them, but I'll see them over the weekend.
Sunday is my great-grandmother's 90th birthday party, and it's a surprise. I can't wait! All my cousins (her grandchildren and great-grandchildren) will be there, and we're taking a family picture with her.
Mommy asked for Monday and Tuesday off, and Daddy is on vacation for a week as of tomorrow, so I'm going to enjoy some family time. YAY!
Tuesday we're going to the Marlins season-opener. This will be the second baseball game I go to ever. GO FISH!!
Well, it's time for me to have dinner, get a bath and watch Nemo before I go to bed. BYE!
