Baby Bach
Normally, when a little one gets anywhere near a piano, they pound away at the keys and make awful, chaotic noise. Not Brandon. He seems to have a liking for the piano. His "noise" sounded more like a composition, out of tune at times, but very musical nonetheless. You can somewhat see the concentration on his face as he was creating his little masterpiece (I wish I had a soudbite!).
Who knows, maybe we've got the next Bach or Mozart on our hands...

Post Wilma Update
We made it through Wilma in one piece. No damage at our place, thank God. A lot of downed trees in the community, but other than that, all is good. We got power back about an hour and a half ago. We're part of the few lucky ones. No one else in my family has power, but everyone is fine, and their homes are fine, which is the important thing. My mother-in-law lost a trailer she rented out, but fortunately theirs is still in the same conditions it was in before the storm.

Waiting for Wilma
Well, we've got all our hurricane preparations taken care of. The cars' gas tanks are topped off, the pantry is stocked, the flashlights are at the ready with extra batteries nearby, the cell phones are charging, as is Brandon's protable DVD player, and I've got plenty of scrapbooking supplies ready to pass the time (and some homework I've been neglecting). If this is anything like our experience with Karina, we'll lose power for a short while, and see a few downed trees. Here's hoping that's all there is to it.

Lots of testosterone in the air!
I would like to announce that I will be Aunty to another BOY next March.
My stepbrother Luis and my cousin Sherri are expecting their first little one. Today was the first ultrasound. Baby is healthy, with long arms and legs, just like his very tall, basketball-playing daddy!
Congratulations, you two!
