Almost six years ago, I met her for the first time.
She was beautiful, with that fantastic smell all new babies have.
What adventures would we go on together? Would she provide me with a lifetime of worries, or would it be smooth sailing...er, driving...for me and my new girl?
She turns 6 on May 12th, and I'm proud to say there were no major bumps in the road. My girl hit 100K on April 30! =)
Thanks Kirsten the Kia, for the good times...I hope we share many more together!

Yes, I had my camera on me when this happened. Yes, I happened to be at a red light. And yes, I reset the mile marker after it happened. A new era has begun! I know...I'm a dork! =P

YAY!
Posted by: caltechgirl at May 5, 2006 1:03 PMHaha. That's good stuff. Good luck with the next 100,000.
Posted by: Yoan at May 5, 2006 4:05 PMYou named your car? Ha ha. Nerd Alert.
Posted by: Claudia at May 8, 2006 2:47 PMMuch Esteemed Statistical Dork,
Good for you!
Glad to see that *someone else* pays attention to these tremendous milestones of life.
I had, of course, camera equipment with me when my odometer reached the 100,000-mile mark, but I was in such heavy traffic that there was NO thought of stopping to record it. I would have been rear-ended! ...and that's no way to celebrate such a milestone.
Now, if you want a photograph of an odometer reading 106,075.6, let me know...
Mine will probably will be close to 110,000 by the time I reach Miami for CubaNostalgia...
See ya then!
