(And Happy Anniversary to my favorite crazy couple, Rachel and Jim!)
I had an ultrasound yesterday morning, and am proud to say that the little bean is doing GREAT! He is approximately a pound and a half. Apparently he had the hiccups, and it was funny to see him boucing up and down on the screen, and simultaneously feel the movement when he hiccuped.

I have a doctor's appointment on November 10th, so expect another update in a couple of weeks.
Billy Joel's daughter is on tour.
Read it here.
Castro may be dead. Or still alive. Who knows, but it sure is fun to try and figure out, ain't it?!
If, in fact, fidel castro and his aliveness are no longer lively, living or showing any hint of aliveness, then chances are that he may, in fact, be scientifically not alive and his aliveness may be a mere symbolic representation of what used to be his aliveness when it was alive in the scientific sense of aliveness. Certain trusted sources have made reference to this alive aliveness and its penchant for recently being non-existent, thus logical deduction and statistical probability and alogorithmic calculations conclude that the aliveness may be alive, but not alive enough to prove that its alive in the empirical sense of aliveness.
After a full day at work, and a 3 hour class, and a 5-month-along belly, I will be going tonight to Jazid's to see my friends Rhett y Los Borrachos Empeņados.
If I can do that, then you can be there too!!

Hi, everybody.
I had a busy weekend.
I went to my friend Sophie's birthday party. She is one. She is so cute! I had lots of fun in the pool. My friend Beka was there too, with her little brother Andrew. My other friend Christian was there too.
I got lots of candy and gummy gum from the piņata.
Yesterday, mommy, me, Nina, Mikey, Maxx, Tia Sherri, and Tyler went to the pumpkin patch. That was a lot of fun! I rode a horsey, and Mikey and I saw butterflies in the butterfly garden. Baby Maxx had a good time too, here he is with Nina and Mikey. Tia Sherri and Tyler had to go home but Mikey, Maxx and me went to McDonald's to eat cheeseburgers. YAY! My favorite!
That's it, see you later.
Yay, one more thing off the list!

I got mine! YAY! Thanks, Rachel and Jim.
And thanks to this little warning, I was very careful opening the envelope. LOL
Even though we're still about four months away from the frijolito's arrival, there's still many, many things to do:

And between this, that, and the other, there's work, school, and the holidays coming up. Oh, yeah, and before baby arrives...Brandon's 4th Birthday. Oh boy...(no pun intended)
A few months ago I wrote this in which I describe two separate instances where it's clearly evident that this city is not as small as it seems. Those two instances collided last night.
I received an invitation last week from Carlos Navarro, the awesome local artist who designed my uncle's wedding invitation, for his last Gallery Night at his current location. So I invited this fellow Cubanita and new friend of mine, who happens to be the wife of my high school friend featured with Val in the Miami Herald article I wrote about in April. (Didn't I tell you this city was small?!) I figured since they live in the Gables, and we were headed to the Gables, it was the perfect opportunity to catch up and hang out. Smart one, aren't I?!
We hung out at the gallery for a bit, then walked about six blocks to dinner at Bangkok Bangkok, a fabulous Thai restaurant frequented by Tere and her hubby. She reviewed it here on her other blog all about the goings-on in Coral Gables. This worked out perfectly, because I'd been craving Pad Thai for a while. We all started out with yummy spring rolls, and Eric, Tere and I had the Pad Thai appetizer as our main course. Ben had the Red Curry Chicken which smelled great, but I dared not taste for fear of burning off my taste buds. We had great conversation, ranging from the crazy way in which we found each other, to our children, to high school, to careers. Unfortunately, we had to pick up Brandon, and they had to pick up Max, so we parted ways around 10:30 or so. We'll definitely be hanging out again soon though. I promised them a meal, and so I must make good on that promise and cook for them. I think we'd better plan it before the Little Bean arrives though, or they'll be treated to take-out instead. ;-)
I was watching "Inside the Actor's Studio" on Monday night, and Al Pacino was the special guest.
His grandfather was born in Sicily, in a town called:
Corleone.
When he was younger, his family did not call him Al, or Alfredo. They called him:
Sonny.
Interesting...
There will be a re-play of this in a few hours...
FELICIDADES, ABUELA!!
Next year, there will be 2 little boys on hand to help you blow out your candles. =)
Home sick today. Brandon's been sick since Friday. He loves his mommy so much he decided to share.
Be back later.
