Shopping Season. First, it's Back-to-School, and all the new notebooks, gleaming backpacks, and sharpened pencils. Then it's Halloween and choosing just the right costume with the perfect complimentary accessories. And then, THEN, it's my favorite time of the year: Holiday shopping! Every year I get a kick out of seeing stores stocking holiday favorites, even in the middle of October. It's starts in a tiny corner of the store, or one link on a website. Then, as the days go by, that one corner or one link multiplies, and before you know it, you're surrounded by wreaths, and toys, and decorations, and gift wrapping. I love it! Of course, it doesn't hurt that my birthday is 18 days before Christmas (...cough, cough...), so it's also birthday present time! ;-)
The internet has made shopping so much easier: no more waiting in long lines, lugging things to the car, then taking them out of the car, then putting them away in some secret hiding place so the kids don't see them, and finally, wrapping everything up for a few minutes of joy and excitement. Shopping online is the way to go: you just browse, click, pay, and move on to the next shopping site. And you can find great savings, too. Online coupons are just as good, if not better, than physical ones. A great place to spot some of these fabulous deals is CouponChief.com. Just a quick glance and I found a bunch of my favorites: The Gap, Old Navy, Pottery Barn, and of course Target. Since I do most of my shopping at Target anyway, I'm sure to save a bundle on the boys' gifts, and they'll have no idea that all those boxes arriving in the mail contain their Christmas presents. As for the hubby, his wardrobe needs an overhaul, so discounts at The Gap and Old Navy will get him quite a few new outfits. Can you tell I love a good deal?!
I used the couponchief for OLD NAVY the other day. I gave WB a big thank you. It is a good site when you know you are going to be shopping in a particular place. I don't do a lot of personal shopping online but the store had sold out of what I wanted so online was the only opition. Glad I did.
