I kept hearing about bloggers making extra money blogging, and thought that it was too good to be true. Then I saw Kate’s results, and that stirred my curiosity a bit. Later, when SarahK, Serenity, Pam, and wRitErsbLock joined too, I figured it was something worth looking into. I had my doubts about it: Would I have time to do it? Would the blog get approved? Do I have enough traffic for this kind of thing? But you know what? I had nothing to lose, and a little over a week ago, wRitErsbLock convinced me to join PayPerPost. I’m so glad she did. The prospect of making money while blogging is quite appealing, as a little extra cash would definitely come in handy, and it’s not as complicated as I thought it would be. The minimum an opportunity pays is $5, and there are plenty of opportunities that pay more. And, as long as there is a non-advertising post in between, you can take two opportunities a day. Imagine the possibilities if I write two advertising posts every day for a month!
I have completed two Marketplace posts, and one PPP Direct post. The two Marketplace posts are still pending approval, but, Direct posts are reviewed directly by the advertiser, and that resulted in immediate approval and payment through PayPal.
I may not make as much money as other bloggers, but that’s partially determined by how much time I put into it. As you can see, in the last few days I’ve been blogging way more than usual. I’m trying to get into the habit so that I can take more opportunities. I figure, if we can cover at least the monthly cell phone bill with this blog advertising thing, that would be great. The rest would just be icing on the cake.
I'll keep you all updated on my results as my posts get approved. If any of you are interested, go ahead and sign up using the badge on the sidebar, I make money from referrals too! =)
I signed up a week ago. They said that if I didn't receive anything that meant my blog was not approved. If it is not I am sure it is because I don't really have enough traffic. I guess my next step is to get more (traffic). I asked writersblock to reveal her secrets and she told me to start stalking people. Sooooooo I'm here stalking all the people that she recommended.
