Since late last year, we’ve received various letters from our home owner’s association about decaying siding on the rear of our home. About five years ago, there was a settlement with the siding company contracted by our community at the time of construction, and we thought we’d be able to solve the problem through them. Our efforts were futile; it seems that the previous owner filed a claim and got paid enough to replace all the siding in our home, not just the damaged area. She was sent a check by the siding company a few months before we bought the home in March 2006. All signs lead to her having pocketed the money since the damage is still there. So now we’re on the search for a reputable local company that will replace our siding without putting a huge dent in our bank account. If we lived in Houston, we’d definitely go with All-Tex Home Improvement Experts. Their siding has a 50-year warranty, which would definitely relieve our worries about it rotting out again, and get the HOA off our backs. We've also been thinking of tinting our windows, and they've got that too. And having studied Small Business Operations, I love the fact that this was a small start-up, and their dedication and hard work turned them into a multi-million dollar company specializing in Houston windows and siding.
I guess the search continues though...any one know of any companies in South Florida comparable to All-Tex?
