All Lit Up

I’ve mentioned before the five or six totes I have in our storage room containing our holiday decorations. One of the smaller totes contains all our Christmas lights, but most of them haven’t been used in a year or two. We’ve only used a few strings for the tree the past couple of years. I’m normally the type to put twinkly lights everywhere: along the roof line, on the balcony (when we had them at the apartments we previously called home), and along our entrance walkway. I had told Eric last year that I wanted to start replacing our incandescent bulbs with LED Xmas lights. We have put up natural Christmas trees the last few years, but I’m always freaked out about the bulbs and what a fire hazard they are. LED Christmas tree lights produce a lot less heat than regular lights, and the boys won’t potentially burn their little fingers when they get all curious and start touching the ornaments on the tree. Never mind they are practically indestructible, a good thing with two little kids around. Eventually I want put up Outdoor LED Christmas lights too. We have three wood columns in our front entrance that I think would look great with red and white LED Christmas lights strung around them, as if they were life-size candy canes.
Yeah, I'm one of those Christmas decorating freaks. =D
