Free Raleigh, NC Getaway

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been itching for a vacation since I went back to work. Ideally, we wanted to go to New York City this Fall with my mother-in-law (who’s never been there), but circumstances did not allow us to plan the trip. .I was brainstorming about where we could go for a Fall Getaway without spending too much money. We figured we wanted to go somewhere where we could see the change of seasons, someplace we’ve never been before. Someplace that’s not too far so that we could make it a road trip, and a place that would be as much fun for the kids as it would be for us. Then it hit me: Raleigh, North Carolina. My cousin lives in Durham, which is *thisclose* to Raleigh, so that’s mighty convenient. Of course we’d stay with my cousin, so we’d save on room and board. Our major expenses would be air fare or car rental, food and entertainment. Well, I happened upon this FREE Raleigh Getaway sweepstakes, which features tickets to several attractions:

2 tickets to the North Carolina Theatre
2 tickets to the N.C. Museum of Art’s Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism
2 tickets to Dinosaurs: Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences

Also included is one night accommodations for two at the Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Crabtree, $25 gift certificate to Blloomsbury Bistro, and free VIP admission for two to Rum Runners.

Wow, if we win this thing, we’ve got it made! We could see so many places, even go to the state fair, which features Kelly Pickler, Chris Daughtry and Trace Adkins in Concert this year. That would be awesome! I already registered, you should too. Who knows, there might be unplanned weekend vacation in your future. Or mine. Preferably mine. I got it, why don't you go ahead and register, and if you win, you give me the trip as an early birthday present. Great idea, don'tcha think?
