I picked him up from school at about 12:45, and he was laying on his naptime mat, in the corner of the classroom. I carried him to the car, and while his temperature wasn't so bad, he was lethargic, and as soon as I sat him down in his booster chair, he told he had to throw up. I pulled him out of the car just in time. His jeans got dirty so I took off his clothes right there in the parking lot and drove the four blocks home, him in his underwear, and me anxious to get home and get him comfortable. I put him in a bath for about 20 minutes, since I figured if he was throwing up he wouldn't keep down any medication I would give him. That worked, and then we layed on the couch for a while to watch TV. Between then (around 1:30) and now, he's thrown up about three times, but it's been mostly clear liquid, almost bile.
He had taken a nap, almost an hour, and woke up feverish again so I tried some Tylenol. Unfortunately, that went out the same way it went in about half an hour ago. Fortunately, whatever little bit is still in his system is doing the job because his fever went down again.
He'll be staying home with my mother-in-law tomorrow.
Poor little guy. Even though he's old enough to tell me how he feels and what's wrong, and will even tell us when he needs to throw up so we can run to the bathroom or provide a bucket, it still kills me to see him feeling so bad. =(
If it's more than a 24-hour bug, we'll be visiting the doctor tomorrow evening.

one of VW Bug's boys was puking this week too. They're up here doing Disney. Or not, as the case may be.
I hope he feels better soon. And no one else catches it!
Posted by: wRitErsbLock at October 17, 2007 10:45 PMDo hope he's feeling better soon. If it is the same thing we had around here a couple of weeks ago, it should only last about 24 hours.
