As soon as I heard about the 1st Annual Create-A-Greeting-Card Scholarship Contest, I thought of my former supervisor and friend Yvonne. She has such an amazing ability to create greeting cards that I would frequently tell her that she should be working for a greeting card company. Unfortunately, the contest is only open to high school and college students, deeming her ineligible. The Gallery Collection is sponsoring the contest, and will award the winner a $10,000 scholarship. I'm sure you've heard of them, they are one of the top publishers of business Christmas cards, personal Christmas cards, and all occasion cards in the country.
It’s a snap to enter this Christmas cards scholarship contest. Those eligible simply fill out the entry form and submit their greeting card design by January 15, 2008. The submission can consist of an original design, graphic or photography, and needs to be horizontal, measuring 5½"x 7 ⅞". It should be a pretty easy process for those creative types.
I know several parents with eligible children, and I’ve forwarded on the contest information. What parent wouldn’t love their child to win a $10,000 scholarship? In fact, it’s not just the parents, but the kids too. I had to pay my own way through college, and I would have been elated to win a contest just by coming up with a creative greeting card!
