On Tuesday evening, my uncle called to see if I would bring dessert to Thanksgiving dinner. I told him that I could try and make something, and he suggested I make Marta's Dulce de Leche Cheesecake. It seemed like a toughie, but I thought I'd give it a try. I went to work on Wednesday determined to purchase anything I might need after work. Fortunately, I was let go early, just a bit before 3PM, and went to the supermarket to get the essentials before picking up Matty. I picked up Brandon, got home, put the cans of condensed milk in the slow cooker as instructed, and headed back out for a couple of errands. We got home a couple of hours later and I made dinner, bathed the boys and took a shower before the baking began. I didn't go to bed until 1:30 in the morning, but it was well worth it because the end result was absolutely delicious! (or at least that's what everyone said. I hope they were being honest, not just being nice.) It was tasty but not repugnant, as some cheesecakes can be. I'm making another to take to my sister's house tomorrow for a small get-together, and maybe next week I'll try to make an Oreo cheesecake (I saw the recipe somewhere.) What do you think?
