The Marvels of Modern Medicine

I’ve got some unsightly battle scars courtesy of my pregnancies, and no, it’s not stretch marks. I’ve got spider veins on both my thighs, though my right thigh has significantly more than my left. The culprit is that dang preeclampsia I was diagnosed with while pregnant with Brandon. Not only was I swollen everywhere, but I gained 41 pounds. While this is in the “normal” range, it did take a toll on my body. Fortunately, with Matty’s pregnancy, I only gained 13 pounds and was back to my pre-pregnancy weight in no time. But the spider veins remain. They are usually not a problem but sometimes, when I’ve spent too much time on my feet (shopping, theme parks, etc) or in one position (like sitting at my desk at work) they sting and hurt until the next day. If it gets worse, I’m considering laser treatment to get rid of them. Have any of you had experience with this sort of thing?
