Here’s the thing: I’m itching to go away somewhere. I know we can’t. We really, really can’t. We need to stay on a strict budget this coming year. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want to. I’ve mentioned before we want to go to New York City again. Even Brandon is in on it. Every once in a while he’ll say, “Mommy, we’re never going to go to New York City” and puts a pouty-face. I told him we have to wait a while to go because it’s a lot of money, and Matty needs to be bigger, but we’ll definitely be going. I know he’s going to love it. Eric showed him a home video we took when we went two years ago, and he was totally awed to see mommy and daddy “on TV” visiting the places he’s heard so much about. If I had my way, we’d go during the winter. Brandon’s never seen snow, and I’ve never been to New York for Christmas or New Year's Eve, so we’d kill two birds with one stone. Of course, that’s definitely out of the question. Cheap hotels are completely non-existent during the holiday season. But if I’m planning this imaginary trip, I might as well do it right!
