I understand how convenient automated payments are, but they tend to cause me distress instead of convenience. Every month I forget to write down the two recurring payments we have in our banking register, and every month I’m caught off guard when those two transactions hit my account. Thank goodness hubby’s most recent paycheck was deposited on the same day. Otherwise, we would have needed a cash advance to cover this week’s expenses. Now I just have to figure out a way to remember to write them down next month!
