Bad news about the bunks: I called the customer service number in the instruction manual. They no longer have the hardware, much less the guardrails. I can get the hardware I need at Home Depot, but my only option for guardrails is to see if the universal ones sold by Pottery Barn Kids will fit properly. If not, the boys won't be in bunks, instead the beds will be separated. Their room won't be crowded, we can put the other twin bed where the crib is now, but it alters our plans significantly. And of course, we have a ladder that won't be used. Good thing it only cost $4.30. Yup, I guess it's all better when I remind myself how little we paid for the bunk beds.
