I know I think out loud a lot about our monetary issues on this blog. I strongly believe that when it comes to goals, writing them down helps in reaching them. So I want to say, here and now, that I am putting my MasterCard away by mid-February (after the boys’ party, I know I’m going to use it for a few party essentials). I don’t want to rely on plastic anymore. If we don’t have the money for something, we don’t get it. I am serious this year about sticking to a financial plan. Once the debt decreases, we can enroll the boys in our state’s pre-paid college program. If they grow up to be geniuses and get scholarships, GREAT! But if they aren't, I don’t want them to have to rely on TuitionWise student loans, or any other kind of loan, to get an education.
