The building I work in should be condemned! Really, I’m serious. The elevators don’t work, the air conditioning units are always breaking down, there’s only one ramp in and out of the parking garage, the walls are nasty and grungy, and the carpets are water-stained from the numerous floods coming out of the bathroom pipes.
Next week the management company that handles the leasing affairs of the building will be replacing some of the carpeting in our suite with VTC flooring. I think that’s just a band aid for a pretty big gash. It’s a shame, they won’t do what really needs to be done until cases of Mesothelioma (and who knows what else) start popping up, and the lawsuits begin. It’s sad, but true.
My point? I may be taking some unplanned vacation time. After all, I am "allergic" to work, and the flooring thing will probably make it worse!
