We finally went to Ikea last night. I now understand what all the hype is about. Even though most of the furniture is not our style, with sleek and modern European designs, we did see a couple of things we like. We particularly fell in love with this desk and the accompanying hutch. As soon as we can we're going back for it.
The layout of the store is awesome, and the staff was super-friendly. And the prices...oh, the prices! We bought a wok, a wok spatula, two frying pans, a three-piece set of plastic cookware (spatula, spoon and fork-like thing), a 17-piece set of food storage containers, a plastic organizer bin thing for Brandon's art supplies and a baby blanket for an upcoming baby shower for under $41!
I read a case study on Ikea in one of my classes, and I have to say: their unique business strategy works! I think I've got a new favorite store. =)
We went on Sunday and bought a footstool, an easel, ice trays and a dresser to put in Christian's closet.
