Man, am I glad I didn't find a present for my mom yesterday...I found the perfect present for her this afternoon. I got this for her, in red to match her kitchen, for $29! We also purchased items for both a baby shower and birthday party we'll be attending next weekend, and all we spent out of pocket was $50. How's that, you ask? Well, remember how a little over a month ago I participated in a research study, earning $75? I coaxed hubby to do it too, and he came home this morning with the first part of the compensation, a $50 Amex gift card. We also went to Home Depot to return a couple of things, and that credited another $45 to our bank account. Hooray for smart spending! And I love that I'm actually prepared for next weekend's events.
