The sitter told me the following story yesterday when I picked up Matty. It seems that he was eating cheerios, and he dropped one after missing his mouth (happens all the time. He's master the pincer grasp, but sometimes in the transition from hand to mouth he'll drop them). It got stuck to his sock, and when he got up to walk she could tell he was bothered by it, but wanted to see what he would do. He sat back down on the floor, look at his feet, and picked the cheerio off his sock and put it down on the floor. He stood back up and walked around. She says the the expression on his face was priceless, he realized he had fixed the problem. But that's not all: he went back to where he had left he cheerio, sat in front of it, picked it up and put it in his mouth!
This kid of mine...can't get one past him!
