Just when we thought we were in a good place, we got our annual escrow analysis from our mortgage company in the mail today. I don't want to get into details right now, let's just say it's not very pretty. In fact, it's very ugly. Unfortunately, calling it names won't make it go away. It just means that there will be some serious juggling in the months to come. There also won't be any Father's Day shopping going on. I'm taking browsing through the sales circulars for men's jewelry, clothing, BBQ accessories and other Dad's day deals off my to-do list.
I know it's not the gift that matters, but I'm the type of person that likes to give a small token of appreciation and love to those I care about. But, I have a back-up plan: I'll be baking! When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right? We'll in this case it's lemon cake. Or some other kind of cake. I haven't quite decided that part yet.
