Temptation lies at every turn

I walked around the mall this evening pretending I had blinders on, trying not to look into the stores or be enticed by bargains. We went into the store, returned our item, and walked straight to the food court. I did pretty good until we sat down to eat. Did you know there are TVs in food courts now? I didn't, and I was not prepared for the bombardment of ads, from upcoming sales events to concert tickets to cruise deals. I felt so...ambushed. But in spite of the unexpected advertising attack, we did manage to leave the mall empty-handed. Hooray for willpower!
