I forgot to mention that I got myself a couple of early birthday presents on Sunday. My friend L, who hosted our latest book club meeting, makes jewelry. Really pretty jewelry. Jewelry that gives some couture Jewelry a run for its money. She's got all sorts of stuff, from earrings to pendants, and I purchased the two things I fell in love with: a bracelet with green beads in different textures, and a long necklace made with garnets. I wore the bracelet today to work, and I plan on wearing the necklace on Thanksgiving. Happy early birthday to me!!
